How to model a Single cylinder crank shaft in simple steps?

How to model a Single cylinder crank shaft in simple steps: it's just simple and refer the tutorial in below.

  1. Step 1:

How to model a Single cylinder crank shaft in simple steps? :
There are various methods in doing it, So to simplify the method I use Limited sketches, revolve Feature and Mirror Effects, So the Very first thing to do is open SW, and Draw a circle with a diameter of around 30 mm, and extrude it as shown.

  2. Step 2:

And then draw the below shown sketch to the relevant geometry at the end of the extrude face of the above circle as shown below.

  3. Step 3:

Once it is done mark a place and draw another circle to around 30 mm or similar value, and extrude it to around 20 mm. Note The center of this sircle is the rotary axis of the Crank.

  4. Step 4:

And the Mirror the Features around the first plane you used to get the balancing mass of the crank in both sides. This demonstrate in below Figure.

  5. Step 5:

And once the above is over, Draw the 2D sketch of the shape of your shaft, and use revolved Boss bass to produce the cylindrical shapes As shown in below.

  6. Step 6:

And if you require a key slot at the end of one side of the Crank, mark a center plane and draw a 5 X 15 mm square or any, and make an Extrude Cut of around 2 mm if both directions as shown in below.

  7. Step 7:

And then use a 2D sketch to complete the other half of the Shaft of the Crank, so as above use the Revolved Boss bass feature to do it, Make sure your shape is as below.

  8. Step 8:

Now you have almost done it, and make the Sketch as shown in the below diagram and make a Extrude cut to make the gear tooth cuts which is in build in the crank. For more easier you can use Circular sketch patters for more easier.

  9. Step 9:

Now the design is completed, and will display as below. make sure to confirm the feature after every step mentioned in above. So we have completed a single cylinder Crank shaft with just 8 steps.
