Surfacing with SolidWorks 02

This is chapter 2 of our mini-course dedicated to surface modeling in SolidWorks.
Do not miss any of the chapters, because we are going to learn how to model wonderful and practical objects.

  1. Step 1: Two More Commands. Trim...

We are going to learn about TWO new commands that are widely used in surface modeling.

They do not generate surfaces by themselves, but operate on those that have already been created and allow us to cut and glue them.

  2. Step 2: More on Trim Surface...

  3. Step 3: Knit Surface...

  4. Step 4: OK. Let's Model!!...

Well, we already have enough knowledge and tools to model something with surfaces.

Umm. Let's model this strange object.

  5. Step 5: Sweepting & Lofting...

Please pay attention to the "Selection Manager" option that allows you to select several segments of an edge, as if they were a single entity.

  6. Step 6: Trimming & Knitting...

  7. Step 7: Summarizing... (And Stay tune!)

And please, practice and practice and practice.

Don't be afraid to screw up.

After all, what's the worst that can happen?... Nothing!

And for sure you will learn something new every time things don't work out!
