Tutorial: how to model a spiral in Solid Edge (example 2)

In order to get our spiral, we can use the advanced options of the helix command as shown in the following

1. Step 1:

   first draw the spiral cross section and a very short axis (I used 0.1mm length for the axis)
   

   

2. Step 2:

   Then open the option window of the helix and set the right parameters
   

   

3. Step 3:

   you must select a draft method for the helix. In this example I used the 2 radius option and I set the final radius much larger than the initial radius

   and here is the result
