Tutorial: How to use SolidWorks as AutoCAD
SolidWorks allows it's users the great designing experience and higher user interface. If you are more familiar with AutoCAD then you can do your work as same as you do in autocad. you just have to activate the "SolidWorks 2D Emulator" add-in.

Step 1:
To activate this add-in go to
Tools > Add-Ins > Solidworks 2D Emulator

Step 2:
you can see the Command Line as in AutoCAD.

you can also use some function keys like F8=Ortho On/Off
