Tutorial on Modeling Bearing in SolidEdge

Here is the tutorial.

  1. Step 1:

    Start SolidEdge.

  2. Step 2:

    Click ISO Part to start part modeling.

  3. Step 3:

    The Part modeling workspace will show up.

  4. Step 4:

    Click Circle.

  5. Step 5:

    Enable all base reference plane for better plane selection. Now hover on XY plane and press F3 to lock it.

  6. Step 6:

    Keep the mouse pointer on the base and then click it.

  7. Step 7:

    Enter diameter 50mm and press enter.

  8. Step 8:

    Again select the circle.

  9. Step 9:

    Along X axis.

  10. Step 10:

    Draw a circle of 30mm.

  11. Step 11:

    Draw a circle of 30mm on other side too.

  12. Step 12:

    Click Smart Dimension.

  13. Step 13:

    Select Y-axis.

  14. Step 14:

    Select the circle.

  15. Step 15:

    Enter dimension of 35mm.

  16. Step 16:

    Repeat the same step for other circle.

  17. Step 17:

    Click Line tool.

  18. Step 18:

    Enable Tangent under sketching tab.

  19. Step 19:

    Draw a line tangent to the two circles.

  20. Step 20:

    Repeat the same step for other circles. If needed add tangent relation.

  21. Step 21:

    Select trim tool.

  22. Step 22:

    Trim all the inside elements.

  23. Step 23:

    Click Select tool and then click inside the region of the sketch and extrude it by 10mm.

  24. Step 24:

    Again select the circle tool and press F3 to unlock the top plane and then select the top face face and then lock it.

  25. Step 25:

    Draw a circle concentric to the middle circle.

  26. Step 26:

    Click inside of it and then extrude it by 28mm.

  27. Step 27:

    On top face click with circle and then draw a circle of 30mm.

  28. Step 28:

    Extrude it with remove at 6mm downwards.

  29. Step 29:

    Select circle tool and then click on the 2nd number top face

  30. Step 30:

    Draw a circle of 20mm dia.

  31. Step 31:

    Extrude it with remove material through all.

  32. Step 32:

    Select circle tool and then this face.

  33. Step 33:

    Draw two circles of 12mm dia concentric to edges.

  34. Step 34:

    Extrude both of them with remove and through all.

  35. Step 35:

    Enable right plane and then select Circle tool. Lock on the right plane and then along Z axis.

  36. Step 36:

    Draw a circle of 6mm dia.

  37. Step 37:

    Smart dimension it by 12mm to the top edge.

  38. Step 38:

    Extrude it with remove.

  39. Step 39:

    Through all.

  40. Step 40:

    And the part is complete.
