While working here I was primarily responsible for record keeping and documenting the drilling process as it occurred. Operations and cost tracking was undertaken and as such appraisal of post operation performance and variances were analysed, often accounting for why the operations varied from the proposed plan.

Worked within the drilling and workover and the design departments at Santa Flora and Pointe-a-Pierre respectively. Worked on projects ranging form asset management to well abandonment on to troubleshooting, design and sizing of process components.

While working within the oil and gas sector I undertook and completed my masters in Petroleum Engineering as a means of furthering my knowledge an insight into the field as well as a means of enhancing my professional position. It culminated in the development of an app geared toward young petroleum engineering students and professionals as it helped with basic calculations with respect to the fields.

Competed the degree with an interest in drafting, product design and development. The programmed finished with the development of a self proposed project, a laptop cooling pad that worked with blower type fans and not radial fans as traditional designs do. The project relied on the use of both traditional pen and paper mathematical calculations as well as the modelling ability of SolidWorks to develop as well as predict the behaviour, be it the strength of the design or the flow of fluid (air) through the device as well as the thermal properties of the system.
