I think the beam fails in buckling rather than compression.

Ohk.... But still even in buckling how can i find out whether it broke or not.

The software only gives deflection. No matter what amount of load i apply.... Even if i change the material to glass ceramic or concrete it would still show deformation upto 7-8 mm even when i turn on large deflection..... How is this possible.... Glass and concrete never yield that much.
