Yamaha has decided last year to enter in all fronts of 2-wheel designs with electric bicycles, electric scooters, and electric motorcycles :

But their electric motorcycle is directed to the dirt bike motorcycle marketplace and competes with the 250cc class : https://electrek.co/2020/08/07/electric-dirt-bike-unveiled-produced-via-yamaha-motorcycle-partnership/

In a lighter duty frame their electric bicycle is for the mountain bike group : https://electrek.co/2020/07/29/yamaha-ydx-moro-new-full-suspension-electric-mountain-bike/

And they have already a well developed website for them : https://www.yamahabicycles.com/

One key focus is that all Japanese electric 2-wheelers have in common is their battery pack technologies which are shared across all four : https://electrek.co/2020/09/04/honda-yamaha-kawasaki-suzuki-test-swappable-electric-motorcycle-batteries/

It may be more important to follow their universal battery pack concept since fast swap out of universal battery pack sizes will be important not just for racing considerations, but also for longer endurance without the consideration for charging times.
