If you were born with this talent and there is a good salary and vacancy in your country. Then it's worth it.

Is it really worth the years of constant studying?

1-2 education and 5-10 years of practice. At 40-50 you can become an authoritative specialist.

If you know you would like to be an engineer and you already know something about this or you are interested about topics in engineering and want to learn more than it's worth it. There is no better feeling when you look at you project and it works. If it is complicated that feeling become greater.

A month ago I finished my first year at faculty of electrical engineering and I learned a lot of new stuff that I didn't know they existed. If you are interested in engineering you should at least try it because you probably will get a job (at least in my country).

£ 100,000 for university? It's quite a lot. If you can afford it, go. If you can't, you can also learn a lot of stuff from web. I learned a lot of different things from internet. I learned all about arduino, SOLIDWORKS an programming. If you are willing to work on your own, this is the stuff. Trust me. It is pretty good feeling when you teach something by yourself.
