In regards to uploading zip files, we've recently disabled uploads of any type of archived folders mainly due to security reasons (to protect Community members from potential malware content). We also don't want the Library to be used as a cloud storage.

In regards to uploading folders of step and/or parasolid files - can you please describe what kind of issue you are experiencing? What is a behaviour or errors you get?

Thanks, the malware issue makes sense especially since there are lots of spammers out there.

I attached an image of the issue. I basically can't upload file folders that contain .step files and parasolid files to the model.

Before I could do this without issues.

I only added the files in a zip folder to:

1. simplify things
2. the image gallery would take too long to load, because it would also load images of the models in the subfolders (i.e. 40 configurations of a part)

It's nice to be able to separate the step files and parasolid files in folders. It makes the initial file tree less longer and easier to modify/delete a folder with step files and parasolid files in it in case the models need updating if there are errors in the model, etc.

Also there are other issues. For example, I can't load a form tool from Solidworks (the file format is .sldftp) along with a model I uploaded, in case some one wants to modify it for their own use.

Microwave Base Subassy

Microwave Base Subassy Contains the bottom base of a microwave, including its feet and cover plate for the motor that spins the table inside.

I can not see any error messages from your attached screenshot. How the system behaves for you?

Alternatively, you can send the problematic folder zipped to support@grabcad.com so we can try to reproduce.

In regards to the .sldftp - we've added this to the supported file formats list now. Please bear in mind that this format is not supported by the integrated viewer mechanism so neither images nor 3D view can be generated/available for this model.

Thanks I was able to upload the .sldftp files. It works great!

I can't show the error for dragging a folder of .step and parasolid files into the upload window where it says to drag files or folders here.

No error actually shows up. It just remains the same and the folder doesn't get uploaded.

I was able to do this before, but again I didn't want a 100 configurations of 1 part to show up in the gallery because it would take too long to view files in the gallery and I didn't want to show the same type of part a 100 times over again. I bypassed the long load times in the gallery and was able to remove the views of i.e. 100 configuration of the same part by zipping the folders that contained the parasolid and .step files to prevent it from doing that.
