I like the compilation showing what can be done with GC parts, but the creators of the parts should get the credit for their work.

I have downloaded a lot of GC parts for my assemblies, and try to point people to the creator of the models; but sometimes I use them many months latter and cannot find the creator to give credit too, such as the compressor in: https://grabcad.com/library/air-pipe-fittings-1.

I understand that GC would need to spend a lot of money/time in policing plagiarism.

BUT I understand that it costs money to maintain databases. If the database is packed with multiple examples of the same parts then it will grow exponentially, and cost more money to maintain, and consume more electricity, creating a larger carbon footprint.

I would suggest that GC provide a “don’t like” button, where GC users can add a comment, with the resultant “don’t like” subtracted from the cumulative likes assigned to the plagiarist users.

It would be nice to see these plagiarists have a negative number of likes.
