Seems like all the staff went on permeant vacation once they started allowing ads on the site. Must be generating an awesome income stream for them since the announced it 2 years ago.

The "stuff" for the stiff banana is (not allowed) SPAM, unfortunately just as annoying (if not more) as the official adds that are permitted and nurchered by GrabCad....

Well, I like on this particular one the "composition" of images. I don't mean the tube itself. You can crucify me for that if you want.

Meta Data, AI, Targeting. Why are we surprised by these implementations? It has been spoken about for years.

They've all abandoned ship. My open letter has gone over three weeks without a response. I'm in the early stages of research on what it will take to create a direct competitor to this site. I'd like to see if I can get something up and running by the end of the year, with invites to all of you.

Unfortunately nowadays the advertising who are spam attacking our website is medicine themed. I am trying to check and cleanup them most days a week but if they keep piling up, feel free to send me a direct message and I'll block & delete them.

For a longer term solution against automated ads, we have some improvements planned soon.

Thanks Yasin.....I looks like these kind of SPAM "models" are company based, so perhaps some legal action from GrabCad might be justified...(if there is still a legal department???)

We (Stratasys) have a legal department but AFAIK in this case there is nothing they can do legally :( These attacks are mostly originated from asian and african dynamic IP pools. Still, thank you for the suggestion.

Sometime this year we will increase checks for account creation and posting contents. Another thing we might consider is maybe to give some basic moderation rights to some users.

Thanks Yasin...Great to hear that there is something in the "pipeline" and great that you act on these posts...unfortunately you are the only one who reacts....I have been reporting these SPAM "models" using the reporting system, but that doesn't seem to work anymore....nothing is done on reports anymore....Is GrabCad also gonna fix the reporting system???

We still have this system but we are not checking them full time and every day. However, we are receiving 1000s of messages/week (most of them are spam as well) - so sometimes it takes few days or few weeks to reply.

Also if an action doesn't require a reply (i.e. an automated spam) we usually just take action (i.e. delete the spam) but we don't reply back to those.
