A colleague from the community tells me about some of my models re-uploaded by another person with a different render, it really bothers me a lot, when we publish a model it is so that anyone in the community can use it personally and professionally, this to save themselves time and advance the designs, but not to re-upload them as if they were theirs, not only should they not do it, even if they say that if they downloaded them from the community, since they did not even ask for permission, i hope the staff do somenting, because there are already several occasions and different colleagues in the community that the same thing has happened to them, colleagues do not upload a model that is not yours even if it is the simplest or the most complex, since you detract from the effort and hours of dedication of the person who makes the design.
here an example:
months ago it was also my model of a chandelier, but the person deleted it as soon as I added a comment about the plagiarism that was being carried out.
This never ends and no matter how many times you report them GC does nothing, it looks like they want the traffic more than supporting the members that have helped make this a great site.
For example this fool does not even know what he has copied from another.
It is unfortunate, we hope the staff can follow up, the community feels a bit neglected on their part lately, they need to work on improving and not letting this community fall, which for years we have managed to grow, and I say "we achieved" because it is thanks to our effort and passion for design

Another one, they all keep reposting each others models or steal others.
You shouldn't be surprised. In my country (Romania) even a prime minister (Victor Ponta) was proven a plagiarist!
This happened to me once... and I'm not even an expert modeler!
So, when someone kindly informed me about the stealing, all I can say is: I'm flattered!
i.e.: that someone thinks my model was good enough to be claimed as his.
I suggest that if you find a ripped off model that you leave a comment with the model saying something like
"THIS MODEL HAS BEEN COPIED FROM (your name). DOWNLOAD THE ORIGINAL MODEL FROM (insert path to model).
I doubt that grabcad care as they are probably more interested in telling the world how many model they have available. If we all copied another persons model, and posted it, then the number of models available would double.
Hello Community Members,
As I have seen time and time again, that sometimes someone may take your model and will reupload the model. Sometimes a model may look similar and not all the time is a stolen model. You and another creator may just have the same idea so don't jump to conclusions. BUT if you believe that someone has completely stolen your model PLEASE report it and our report team will contact you as soon as they can.

I agree with what you say, about having the same idea or making an open source model, for example there are many users who make the 5-cylinder radial engine, but in the case that I mentioned earlier, they were indeed my models , and I verified it so as not to draw hasty conclusions as you mentioned, and I managed to talk with the user until he agreed to completely delete the model that had been uploaded, and even acknowledged having re-uploaded mine, and although on many occasions it is reported, but there seems to be no follow-up.
Angel,
When did you report this? I can follow up with the report team on this.

If the staff allows that, this will get out of control, because any model you upload, anyone can plagiarize it, the idea is to share for personal and professional use, not to re-upload as your own, it must be a strict rule not to re-upload another user's files, and as punishment, permanently delete the user's account, a user who uploads a foreign model, not only has no respect, dignity, and self-worth over their own design skills, for which they should not even be a member of this community .
I insist that it must be a strict rule of the community, to download a design from another user and publish it as their own, we know that there are very few who do this, but they are users without their own value or confidence in their own abilities, who have to arrive to do something as deplorable as to appropriate someone else's work, the idea is to share your designs for free, and that the community can use them in a personal and professional way, if that saves them time, but STRICTLY FORBIDDEN TO RESUBT THE DESIGN ANOTHER MEMBER OF COMMUNITY.
Nice memories! :D But you are aware that most Romanians getting here are those who share, not who grab? And people accused here are mostly from certain S-E Asia areas? (political correctness is irelevant here).
As for me, I ended up deleting all my models here after a long and absurd argue with the Grabcad owner (at least he presented himself so), started by those INDIANS who were upset they couldn't get ENTIRE model to STEAL; I was cautious enough to put only assembly file, or pictures for some of them.
I do not delete any of my projects even if they are stolen. More than this, I create tutorials of Inventor for the world (and they are most watched by Indonesians, Indians, Vietnamese and other persons from S-E Asia) - see: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQ2GcD37ZxR8GvLNcFd1jXeb9ZLM_9bgb
I only put step files. Anyone can use them but if you need them modified then you need the Creo model.
I will pass on Creo models to people keen to learn as that is how i learned, trawling through model features from people who knew more than me. I know it is a pain in the arse when people steal your work, i had enough of it working for corporate america, but i just like making things.
