Any Update on When GrabCAD will be updating to allow Solidworks 2022-2023 Models to be Viewed in Gallery / 3D Viewer

Approximately two months ago I was required by NASA to update to Solidworks 2022-2023 from 2021-2022. Ever since, any models I attempt to upload do upload and are downloadable and do open in Solidworks, but do not show a Gallery Image and can not be accessed using the regular Viewer and the 3D viewer on the site. Staff said they were very soon upgrading to a third-party image generator capable of handling the new version.

Any Updates? I miss sharing some of my designs with a crowd of future engineers that I mentor locally that they can work on their own time.

Your best course of action in all cases is to create a rendering of your model and place that as the first image. Even after GC upgrades their viewer it may sometimes take many hours or days before your model makes it through the queue. A rendering displays immediately.

Some mainstream CAD filetypes are as yet unsupported. Inventor files never show up so a rendering is always required.

Not everybody uses Solidworks. To be the best GC citizen it would be helpful to upload another intermediate filetype such as STEP. Not only will this render correctly on GC, other CAD users will have better access to your work.

Hi.
We plan to update our render engine to the latest version soon and will announce it in this group when it's completed.

I wonder when exactly soon is...? It must be great to work in a place that has no fixed deadlines, but it is not a professional look.
