I Designed It, I Built It

Created by Rollin Shultz on 30 April, 2018

Back in 2007 I designed Aeromaster LMP, which is a replica of the 2003 Bentley Speed 8 LeMans winning prototype. When I was ready with the exterior and sliced it into separate 3d solid blocks, I designed a 3-axis CNC-machine to produce the plug from foam blocks. The CNC-machine was ready in 2009 and then I built the plug for the Aeromaster LMP in a rented industrial building. Once I was done in 2011, I proceeded with the design of the chassis and suspension, along with assembly drawings, which took me 3 extra months. I did that solely for a customer, but also helped with the building on later stages when more people were hired to produce the composite moulds and body. I did the entire 3d design, engineering and physical development of the product. 4 years ago I also designed a totally new chassis, called Aeromaster Pro chassis, which is a significant improvement over the original chassis. During the last couple of years I also designed various interior parts and new seats. The body kits are now produced by the company staff in another city.

It takes too much time to upload pictures one by one, so for those who want to see more of the project I leave a link to the official Rhino forum where the project was shown in more details:

Sometimes, I also upload videos on my YouTube channel where I show the process of designing certain parts, such like this interior cover:
