Advice for realistic lighting

Hello everyone.
Ive never tried to render a scene with a light source coming from a bulb, typcially I only use keyshot for car and motorcycle renders where a simple emissive material is enough.

So If anyone has any advice or experience for me to do this properly i would appreciate it.

I added emissive material to the bulb filiment and created a sphere to use as an area light to cast all of the shadows. However when i added the bulb glass back into the scene the sphere area light got blocked out and lost all of the shadows.

So a quick fix i did two renders. One with out the bulb glass and the other of just the bulb. In photoshop i manipulated to get some kind of result.

I know this isnt correct and im sure there is a proper way to do this so hopefully some one here knows.

1st image is base render
2nd is bulb render
3rd is merged together in photoshop

Thanks in advance

Try render this as EXR then in Photoshop adjust lights/darks.
For me you have too much ambient/hdr light in this scene.
Base of this tubine is floating instead of touching the surface of table.
