Geneva mechanism (also known as Maltese cross) is widely used in many design and construction which produce the intermittent motion for their simple structure, low cost and long duration of life. Still, there is a lot of disadvantage due to the kinematic and dynamic specification.

What is the most concerned problem that you have with this device? Limited speed? Vibration? or Noise? ...

thank you. I think that the advance in electrical devices and the programmable characteristic have made "machine" become more flexible

I think jerk is the disadvantage of hemeva mechanism.
