Questions from novice NX user

Hello,

I'm new to the NX software and I've been using it lately and I have some questions to ask the veterans here soo I'll start here and many thanks in advance.

1.Is there any option in NX that can make curtain cut in the face of an object like the "Extruded Cut" option in SolidWorks? ( I find NX easy to use so I prefer it over SW)

2.How can I make custom drafting standarts in NX?

question 1:

yes, draw and extrude with option to cut.

you could use the existing lines/edges etc, if it suit you.

question 2:

do not understand the question well. there is a draft action to do drafting, with some options to custom.

So I'm making progress in using NX but there is this university project that drives me nuts and I can figure how to make this valve with a spline on it( its a motor for a gear reducer) I'll upload some pic of the draft and the model I've made.....I could use some veteran aid
