SOLIDWORKS Design & Help

I´m sorry in advance if what I ask makes you roll your eyes, I´m pretty sure it´s something really obvious, but I´ve tried everything and nothing worked. I´m a student and we have to deliever a mouse (our own mouse, mine is a Hp x3000) made in solidworks renders and all, Monday, I know some paths that I have to make and I even watched this youtube video for reference

The problem is, I can´t get out of phase 1! I´ve made the frontal and top lines that I need to make a project curve and now I just needed a sketch that would allowed me to have a second direction, so I can do the boundary surface. I don´t know why but everytime I use the picture it never stays correct, it either stays too big or too small compared to the other lines, (or it says it can´t make the boundary wich is another problem in itself) I´ve made pierces, I´ve used planes, points, everything, no luck.
