If your laptop has a built in GPU rather then a distinct GPU, you will have to create a registry entry for it otherwise Solidworks cannot detect the GPU as being present.

You can try following.. (Beware at point 4 and 5 bcoz of two imgs)

It's essentially the same problem for most of the last few releases of Solidworks afaik.

Hopefully it will work for you. I rarely use solidworks on a laptop and generally only switch to realview on my desktop.
