Hello i have a core ( I90) and cavity (K90) already created by another software , i want to extract the part ( Manivelle T2 ) from it
How can i do that on solidworks ?
1.Create an assembly with both mold halves properly aligned.
2.Define in the assembly a new in context part, that covers all mold volumes, aligning conveniently the main planes to the mold halves contact surface.
3.edit new part in context, adding a cavity feature (Insert/Feature/Cavity) with one of the mold halves
4.keep editing the new part, this time adding a cavity for the other mold half
5.save the resulting part
https://grabcad.com/teruteru-1 very good method and efficient,
https://grabcad.com/mohamed.khefacha-1 do you have the original files, if you share is more easy for the user provide you help and assistance,
edit, and send it with the changes you occupy, and you can analyze it for the next one and you will know how to solve similar situations
Angel, I'm afraid there's no way to share files in this forum. I found the possibility of sharing images only.

In Fact is not possible share files, but for now we can try this:
and share the links to improve the way we help each other
Ok then, here are the files from my example:

But https://grabcad.com/mohamed.khefacha-1 , depending on the material used for the molded part, you will have to cater for any applicable cooling shrinkage scaling down the resulting part.

what version of solidworks do you use, I tried to open the files and I could not, my version is 2016, I'm assuming your files are from a newer version
Well, yes ... is SW 2017 SP4.1 x64 ... I'm afraid that even if I save the project in another file format, you'll loose the important info of features and mates.
Any idea?
https://grabcad.com/teruteru-1 and angel thank you for responding to my problem
you will find the original parts I90 & K90 in the link below , you will find too four other files that you should use it to extract twor more parts
Part 1 : MI & MK
Part 2 : PR & PT

Your models are made with Siemens parasolid CAD. If you want to help from solidworkers with older versions of SolidWorks- save you files as .step
So, in your assembly circular references. You want to create molds from part which is created by molds...

thank you
So it is necessary? https://filebin.net/tcami8zk5mb54ff6
I do not think so. The real mold model looks a little different, and need from designer casting experience.
I want to know what is the method to export part from core and cavity ?
if you can do it or me it's ok
the part's are from a competion , i am not the designer
