Hello Everyone,


We all know that latest versions of Solidworks can open OBJ files. now & MTL files are including mesh & texture, how can we do that opening an obj file with keeping the texture in solidworks. Please let us know from your experience

Obj import in solidworks :- When i try to import obj with only mtl file it worked perfectly, but when i tried with map as a png or jpeg file, it can not import texture. im not saying it could not, just saying that i have not succeed to import any texture file in solidworks till now.


Obj export in solidworks :- u can not directly export obj with mtl in solidworks, but there is one macro which we can use. "https://forum.solidworks.com/thread/54270" find macro in attachment section.

note-- you can not export any types of decals using this macro.

Hi, i am scanning objects with my phone, to take some measurements an i have a problem, and it is how can I open OBJ with MTL files in solid, cause I need to seed the graphic or color of surface, thanks!
