Setting up tables inside drawings

I modeled a bee hive. First, I creating one part file with all the pieces as configurations and then assembled the whole thing. After that, I exploded the assembly for the purpose of laying it out in a drawing.

I wanted to add labels to the separate pieces on the exploded assembly so that I could make a parallel table that would identify the part and its dimensions. I tried to insert the design table from the part file, but soon realized that it was not available because it was not created in the assembly. Also, It wouldn't have a column with vales (1, 2, 3, ...) linking to the labels on the exploded assembly.

There is a attached image example of what I'm trying to accomplish. Also, the part and assembly file are there if someone wants to check it out.

Any help will be appreciated.

If I read it right, you created a multi-body part. But, you really need an assmebly to make your table work as desired.

From the part file, right click on Solid Bodies in the feature tree.

Choose Save Bodies

Make sure to enable the option to Create an Assembly.

Save the bodies. An assembly will also be created.

Or, there are only a dozen parts or so. It would not take much to manually edit balloons to have the correct part number in them by just choosing the Text option and manually typing in the values..

What do you mean by multi-body part? I used one part file to create multiple configurations which are driven by a table. I didn't create multiple bodies in the part file, its just different configurations that are within one part file. I might be wrong about the fact that its not a multi-body part.... Can you explain differences

between them?

Also, For example if I'm making something out of wood and need different sizes of wood pieces, is there a more efficient way of creating them, if not in a table?
