bi-directional cut-extrude with offset

Hi:

I would like to know if 2 cut-extrudes with offsets are possible in a single operation. Cut-extrude has the option of cutting in 2 directions (direction 1, direction 2). What I've not found is the way to offset the cut in both directions from the sketch plane.

In the attached example the sketch is located on the top plane as shown. The challenge is to offset the cut-extrude in both directions in one single operation. The attached example was created the standard way by mirroring.

Thanks

Nope, not in one feature. the sketch offset is basically just moving the sketch, to achieve what you're asking about, you would have to duplicate it and relocate it.
Obviously there are multiple ways to approach this, my fist choice would be cut extrude in one direction with the offset and then reuse the sketch and cut-extrude in other. Or cut-extrude thru all both direction and then just plug the area with Boss-Extrutde. And of course if part is symmetric mirror is the best choice.
In general you're always better having more features and less complicated sketches, especially once you start using best part of SolidWorks: configurations
