Hello, how do you download parts or catalog of traceparts to Solidworks and create a private library ? thank you
i want to download parts or catalog of traceparts to Solidworks and create a private library ... is there video on youtube ?

1. Get and account at https://www.traceparts.com/en
2. Login, and browse the part catalogs.
3. Once found, there is a area where you see CAD Models, Request for Quote, Share
4. In die CAD Models, in the dropdown, choose Solidworks.
5. Press the download picture-button to download to your PC,
6. Unzip the file.
7. In the unzipped files, you will find Solidworks parts and / or assemblies.
Now unfortunately its just bodies in Solidworks. If you want the original designed stuff, you will have to use feature works on all the part files, to regenerate it as if it was created in Solidworks from scratch. This Solidworks downloads from Traceparts is just conversions and not the original design.
This mean, the Solidworks format does not help you a lot... you could just have save it as STEP files form Traceparts as well, with the same result.
