2nd tutorial on how to model a wide-chord fan for a turbofan engine in CATIA
This is another tutorial on how to model a jet engine fan in CATIA. This is similar to http://grabcad.com/questions/tutorial-how-to-model-a-wide-chord-fan-in-catia but this method is easier, the design is more easily modifiable, and its less awkward than the first. I also included how to add the spiral on the spinner cone.
Model page is here: Another Fan for High-Bypass Turbofan. (9:1 ratio)
Please note that I uploaded the tutorial in 2 chunks. Depending on the number of upvotes for each chunk, the 2 might not be in the right order.

thanx for the tutorial I was wondering how the blades were made. For the first spline how did you get the dimensions and the curvature the spline has.
Thanks a lot for this tut. I want to cover the tut in solidworks 2016 and cant figure out how i can create the "3D Splines" with cuttig the surfaces. The surface creation is no problem at all but the combined splines are very mystic in SW. Can anyone give me a hint? Cutting is disabled in Surfaces.
Thanks. RIU
