3D model - pdf export issue

Hi everyone ;)
I am a new cad user. Recently I have a 3D model drawing but when i try to export to pdf. When i try to preview the pdf, it shows a very bad quality, fuzzy drawing. I also did look it up and it has something to do with hidden line setting or 2d wireframe but i am very confused.
Please help and thanks in advance.

Hello! As a new CAD user, I understand you're facing issues exporting your 3D model to PDF, and the preview shows a fuzzy drawing. This might be related to hidden line settings or 2D wireframe. Let's simplify it. In your CAD software, look for options like "hidden line removal" or "shading settings" before exporting. Choose high-quality settings during the export process, and check for options related to image compression. If there's a print preview, use it to ensure the PDF looks good before finalizing. Make sure 2D elements have clear wireframe settings. If confusion persists, explore your software's help resources or community forums. I hope this helps!

Hi Alicia,

The good way to export the CAD drawing into pdf by plotting the drawings or you can use publish command, but you have to do page set up into the layout.

Hi Alicia
I use SolidWorks and this is my way to save the file as PDF or 3D PDF.
First of all, I select the save as and choose the format, after that I go to the option and that is where I determine the quality of the output.
If I want a pdf, I check the "high quality line" and select number 300 in the box, 96 is the lowest quality and 600 is the highest. And then I hit ok button and save. You can do the same for the "high quality shaded edges".
For 3D PDF, I set the accuracy option to high or maximum. OK and save.
Use several qualities and see which one is suitable for you so that the file size doesnt get too large.
