center distance changing gear mechanism
I am designing a Flat sheet rolling machine, I am facing a problem with the gear when the centre distance changes it does not mesh. suggest me a good solution if not gears any other mechanisms also!
Limitations-
Two rollers should rotate at the same speed,
in the opposite direction, only one power source should be used,
and mainly centre distance should change from 3 mm to 10 mm.

sadece alt mardane kısmını güç kaynağı bağlayıp üst mardaneyi de serbest bırakıp sac parçasını ara kısma koyup ters yönde döndüğünde otomatik olarak sürtünmeden dolayı yapılan işlem doğru olacaktır.
friction will certainly help but there could be a chance of bending of the sheet due to this. because other is rolling because of sheet friction this may cause irregular properties in sheet surface.
How about a set of 4 gears. The two driven gears and 2 idlers. The moveable roll has its gear mesh with one of the idlers such that vertical movement doesn't affect the center distance very much. You can obtain a significant amount of adjustment this way. I do this all the time with great results.
