How can I fill a fish tank modeled on solidworks with water?
is for a presentation, I do not plan to use fluid simulations

You can create a cube that about has a water level of 3/4 the volume of the tank and is bigger than the tank, then use the indent tool to cut the volume with the tank, then delete the excess volume since you will have multi-bodies. Finally, set the volume material to water in the material library. You can render the results.
