How do I create my own honeycomb hatch pattern in CAD?
We are doing drawings for glass panels with honeycomb chicken wire in them. Would be so much easier if I could create my own hatch patter for the chicken wire.

hi Michael,
You can use linear sketch pattern to create your honeycomb pattern. You need to do some simple calculation. Say you draw a hexagon with a known distance 50mm between two sides. Then you select all 6 lines and pattern them in two axis using linear sketch pattern. Now here the thing to be careful is angle , so for one axes give angle as 30 deg and other 330 deg. Then give multiplication factor on instance output box. And You are good to go with the pattern. In the attached pic, you may find the clear inputs for linear sketch pattern.
