How do I make an animation of spring motion by *.stp step file( Not original file)?
I had a spring design by *.stp step file. I can not make an animation of spring motion like original part design file

You will need to open the Step file and import the diagnostics. After that's done and the part has been recreated it should act as the original part file. Any animation work you have done on the original would need to be completed again.
You wont be able to show the spring functioning with a mate or in the part file, but creating a motion study would work.
Step files are more or less used to import 3-dimensional data, as opposed to other formats which may have the ability to carry over your animation study.
