How do I open a STEP file in Inventor?
I created a tool in Inventor and saved it in STEP format (2,63GB). Then I zipped it in order to share it with someone. Now we're unable to open it. I unzipped it and when opening it in Inventor it loads until 95% and then it stops loading/crashes. Why is this?

Probably in the process of zipping/unzipping the file it got corrupted. Once a file is corrupted it is usually a lost cause trying to recover it. Your likely only choice is recreate the STEP file and start over.
I would try to use another software, solidworks or autocad mechanical, if possible, I always use solidworks as a backup on my pc. if that hasn't worked, try to configure the compression properties of the file itself thru windows, it might work after that...
