How do I patch this up? Surface? Freeform?

Hi everyone,

I would like to know the steps into patching this area up. I know that I have to divide the fender/wheel-well in to several surface sections to match the surfaces on the side panel and hood but don't know how this is done. A guided example would be appreciated. Thanks for your time. (Files were done in 2018).

You need supporting curves from the wheel arch (g0) to the upper surface (maybe g3). An intersection curve, created by a datum plane at each end of the curve, can be used as a means of construction. You'll need some type of bridging curve that you can control the continuity of; g0 from the wheel arch section curve, g3 at the upper surface's section curve. That leaves you with a 4-sided patch to construct a mesh surface through.

I don't know the tool-sets available within Inventor, but this is a 'general' workflow.
