One of the add-ons available for my CAD software, Alibre Design is a python scripting module, wizzo script. I use this to produce gear parts mainly, but it can be used to automate parts of the modeling process relatively easily. To use python scripting, with the software you have, first you need to research what python tools are usable with your software, then if you see a use for these tools spend some time and effort to make use of them.
