how to make a shock work in a front suspension

THe shock as an assembly moves.When i put it the car assembly.Can not get the suspension to move.It is Fixed

This happens when you put an assembly in an assembly.
You can only move parts in the basic assembly, then go to the main assembly and then revised part is changed of location.

Of course you can move any assembly in an assembly.
Featuer manager...right click on the assembly, then in properties click flexibility
