How to merge and export non touching parts of an assembly as .stl file (so the individual parts "disappear")?

Hi all,
I know how to export an assembly as one .stl file, however, my assembly is consisting of individual parts and also sub assemblies which is causing some trouble for me.

I have an assembly in SpaceClaim (ANSYS R19.0). This assembly consists of imported single parts (e.g. "Rotor base") and imported sub assemblies ("BG Pattern 27 (...)"). The imported sub assemblies consist of several individual parts, which are not touching each other.

Now I need to save the assembly as .stl file so it can be imported in a second software. I am desperately searching for an option to save the assembly as a .stl file (or .stl files) so that later on the individual parts (in my example 8) and the imported sub assemblies (in my example 3) can still be distinguished (=11 parts in total).

So far, I only found out how to either export the whole assembly as one single file or each single part individually (almost 100 files). My question is, can I somehow gather the sub assemblies (each has 27 individual parts, not touching each other) which were imported into the main assembly as one "part" so later on they appear as one part?

I attached 2 screenshots to explain my situation.

Thanks a lot. I highly appreciate any advice. Cheers, Daniel

Thanks for your comment, Mashi. Your suggestion works for me (using SW) when applying it to one single assembly. But I think in my case the problem is that my final assembly consists of both parts and sub assemblies. And therefore for some reason I can only export it as 1 part or ~100 individual parts. Was not able to merge the sub assemblies as one part (like I said, this only works when applying it for a single assembly).

Right now, the best solution I found is to create a very thin plate to "merge" the individual parts together, so it is accepted as one part. I attached two screenshots.
