How to model a sine wave(using parametric equations) on a knife or hacksaw using Creo???
I want to generate a sine wave cut on a knife or hacksaw, can someone say me the procedure for doing it????

Good work @ BH Ooi, can you please help me??? How to keep sine wave serrations on the edge of white portion in the attachment below???
BH Ooi, Can you please help me how to select the marked red colour edge(below attachment) as the reference for drawing sine curve just like how you have drawn for knife, please.....
I am still on Creo2. as such I am unable to open your prt file. Could you please send me the creo2 version, or IGES/STEP file? Thanks
Ok, the main issue here is the selection of the trajectory. I approached this via silhouette edge of the impeller geometry. See the attached files.
Thank you sir, I was unable to select the edge as an origin in sweep option, moreover, I couldn't understand why you have selected copy and trim options so if possible could you please explain me why you have used copy and trim options as well as how to select the edge as an origin. Screenshot 3 is showing how wrongly I selected edge.
A couple of points on the trajectory selection:
1. The edge must the outermost point along the end surface of impeller.
2. I used the silhouette edge to create the trajectory.
3. To select No.2, I made use of the trim function that has the silhouette option. I created a copied surface for this purpose as the function only allows surface trimming, not on solid
4. Once the copied surface is trimmed, its trimmed edges will be the sweep trajectory
Sir, i have tried my best to select the end edge of the impeller, but instead of end edge some other is getting selected and the material is getting removed as shown in below attachments. Im not understanding where i have done mistake in selecting the correct edge. Thank You
Hi, you can just follow exactly I did in the creo2 file I attached earlier. To select the edge, just temporarily hide the solid and leave that copied surface(after trimmed) visible. You need to select the trimmed edge of that copied surface, not anything else.
