How to shrink things in sketchUp ?

-- go to -View- in the drop-down menu, -Toolbars- and activate -Large Tools Set-. In that set will be this icon, which activates scaling, otherwise known as resizing.

1. On sketch up look for this Icon. It's probably at the same place that mine is. Look in Tools or on your screen.

2. click on whichever corner to indicate the direction in which you want to shrink or grow your object and drag it. The box in the bottom left will indicate the change the size.

3. If you have a precise size you want to shrink/grow your object, type it in the box on the bottom left side of the screen. It should say "scale" next to it. Note, 1.00 is the same as 100% of the original size.

Please note that this does not change the ratio of the object's dimensions.
