How to use same part with two different configurations in catia?

Please see the attached file.

I want to use this part in drawing with open condition of side faces, but want to use same part in assembly with close side faces.
I don't want to make two parts in catia i.e. one for drawing and one for assy.

Please suggest me how to possible in same part to do like it?

In Catia if it has the same part number it has to be the same part. There is no equivalent to 'configurations' in Solidworks. As far as I know.

As Marcus said, CATIA does not have a equivalent capability as Solidworks. You have to make a new Part file for each configuration, with a unique part number (file name).

CATIA has something called 'Enhanced Scenes' which is kinda similar. But it only works with assemblies.
