I made conveyor chain material is MS it should withstand 13TON bearing load but it withstand 8.8 Tons

I made conveyor chain material is MS it should withstand 13 TON bearing load but it withstand 8.8 Tons. link plate is get damaged now can change the material for link plate like en grade please help me.
