is there a way to convert autodesk alias files into solidworks soild models? I have alias files and need to generate working drawings in solidworks.

If you can export the Alias files to a format that SW can import, then try running the Recognize Feature option during import. This works well with prismatic models.

Steve, thanks for your response, it will export iges & step, but its time consuming significaly the iges are all surfaces and step doesn't recognize all features, do you know if there is a inexpensive translator?
