ISOGrid Pattern on a cylinder with different top and bottom diameters

Hi All,

Wondering if anyone has any pointers on modeling an ISOGrid pattern on a cylinder that features different top and bottom radius in Fusion 360. So far the only reference I have found that relates to this subject is this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RH5h-JD5po

Which covers modeling of an ISOGrid on a "normal" cylinder.
On the screenshot I have attached to this post I show my problem. Any ideas on how best to do this?

Thanks,

my way would be to create a plane parallel to the taper of the circle and then start with the ISOGrid projection from that plane to the cylinder. like here.

additionally, when you create the pattern use the angled line for direction.

The video may not be very clear it is just a screen grab of F360 steps.

Making some progress but still not quite there yet...
