Obj to solid model
Im using autodesk Inventor. I opened .obj file however, It looks like a mesh model with triangles. I want to convert it to a solid model. How can i convert it to solid body?
I used autodesk mesh enabler add in but still it didnt work

Even if you convert it to a true solid it will have the triangulated surface. If it has triangles now, it will always have triangles.
You must go back to the original CAD model to get a non-triangulated surface. Which means going back to the original designer and getting either the native CAD file or something like a STEP file.
The alternative, and I've done this, is to create the file from scratch on your own using measurements from the OBJ file.
To reiterate, there is no conversion that will eliminate the triangle faces.
