Problem in pipe vice assembly
Please refer the attached image first.
I am in mid of an assembly of pipe vice. I got a problem. What relation(mate) I should give between FACE 1 & FACE 2 ?

I think for this case, neither the shaft or the jaw looks to be rotating, so personally, I think the "best" solution would be to draft both parts with a reference plain (say "front") as a mid plane, than make both planes coincident that way you can change the width, thickness or diameter of the circular cut without breaking the mate.
