Saving solid part file as .stp format in catia V5
HI,
I have a part file contains no of Dump Solids.
While saving as .stp format, it gives me some solid parts as dump surfaces in a Geometrical Set.
I need all dump solid part as a solids in a .stp file.
Can anyone provide solution for this issue.

For error parts try to recreate them from close surface command in part desing.
Just use extract command in surface design. And make them dead (datum). and use close surface in part design. Than try to save as .stp.
When using the STEP interface format, CATIA will convert smart solids (CSG with history) into "dumb solids" (Brep with no history), but it is still a solid. That's how it works.
If you want to maintain the CSG history, then you need a special converter specific to the CAD system you are converting to.
