SolidWorks: Task Pane Issue

Hello Seniors,
As in SolidWorks, when we open Appearances, Scenes & Decals from Task Pane, it shows drop-down menus from which we can select an appearance - material - subtypes to give the desired appearance to our 3D model. But in my case (SW2016 premium), there are no further options to choose from as you can see in an attached screenshot. Did anyone faces the same issue or is there any way I can enable the drop-down options? I already google the issue but didn't find any lead. Kindly help if anyone knows. Thank you.

I have this issue every now and then, especially when working with huge files with lots of appearances.
They only way I found was to close SolidWorks and reopen it.
