Using an STL model in a flow simulation study in Solidworks
Dear all,
I have an STL model that I found online. I want to use it flow simulation in solidworks. This is an aortic artery, so I want to simulate the blood as it goes "inside" it. Now, I know how to convert it to solid or surface, I just do not know how to convert it to an actual pipe-like body that has two openings.
Any suggestions?

If you have converted this into a solid body, you should be able to use the shell feature to "hollow" it to the proper thickness. Select all of the end surfaces when you do the shell and it should be open at each vessel end.
