Hi,

Are you looking for serious business or hobby business? You should define what you want to do with the printer. Normally most desktop 3D printers can print PLA, PETG, ABS. Most hobby parts are made of these. But business prints may need Polyamide(PA-12)/Nylon. They are amazing industrial standard quality. But those printers will cost your over 150000$.

You can also print Epoxy parts in desktop SLA printers like Prusa(still in launch) or Formlabs.

One alternative to get access to all the parts and see for yourself what you want you can print standard Test Kits of all possible materials from service providers like Shapeways, i.Materialise or Sculpteo.

We use a Fortus 450mc and a Dimension 1200es at the office, both by Stratasys, and they work for our needs, but we will need more information about what it is you are looking to print. I see you have "Long operating hours" but would need to put a quantitative number to this. Would this be for one continuous print? Our 450mc can be queued up over the weekend and run without issue (100+ hours continuous) very much dependent on the material being printed, the layer height, and whatnot.

Material, reliability, cost, accuracy, and secondary operations needed are a few things to consider when looking.

Yahya posted a link that covers all the main talking points. Another option would be to check out a show or reach out to a local 3D printing hub to get more details or first hand reactions to how others enjoy (or hate) their machines.
