What laptop specs support Autodesk Inventor and Solid Cim

For CAD work aim for a workstation/laptop with a professional (i.e. not gaming) video card.

Will the programs run on a gaming card? Most likely.
Will you get any support if the gaming card is not working? Probably not. All the "certified" cards look to be professional cards.
I don't know what your budget is for a laptop, but check out the Dell Precision Mobile Workstations. I buy 2-3 year old ones on eBay as they come off of a lease. For about $1,000.00 (US) you can get a great laptop which is designed to run CAD applications.
The M6600. and M6800 are good options now. The 7000 series is still a bit expensive for my taste.
This was all very helpful. I think I am going with the Dell Precision 7000 series. It is a little expensive, but I'm sure it's worth the money. Thanks.
