When creating parts with weldment profiles, do i have to use 3d sketches or can i use regular sketch lines on different planes?
Keep getting an error while trying to use regular sketches on different planes.

works with IV so I don't see it being a
problem with SW

If sketching in 3D gives you trouble which it will if you have arcs and curves, you can combine 2D sketches on different planes into one using the composite curve tool. I have used this method for complex wire parts and it saved me much time. Here is a complex wire form with a repeated sketch on 8 planes, which was converted to a single path with that tool.
